Goodtime Lodge is a family owned and operated standardbred breeding and training facility with two farms, comprising 150 acres at Elliminyt, just outside Colac in Victoria’s lush Western District. With its rich volcanic soil and temperate climate, Goodtime Lodge is the ideal location to breed and raise standardbreds.

Goodtime Lodge is the home of the colonial bred pacing stallions Guaranteed, Jilliby Kung Fu, Soho Lanikai, Goodtime Sammy, Restrepo and the trotter Cardigan Boko.

Ian and Judi Slater, the principals of Goodtime Lodge, have been successfully breeding, rearing and racing their own stock since the mid 1980’s.

The list of horses bred and raised at Goodtime Lodge includes Al’s Court 1:50.6 ($711,625), the winner of 84 races in Victoria and USA including the VHRC 3YO Cup, Goodtime Marjie 1:54.4 (Vic. Metro Cup), Idealsomemagic 1:53.3 ($111,430), Goodtime Slater 1:55.3 ($105,663), Goodtime Alltime (1:55.5), Goodtime Bobby (1:56.4), Goodtime Jasper (1:57.3), Whats In The Esky (1:53.1) and Goodtime Sammy 1:54 (unbeaten in 4 2YO starts).

We are owner-operators, so we have a passion for horses and we are always on hand for consultation and advice for young participants looking for assistance. The property has been developed for the specific purpose of breeding and training horses and no expense has been spared to provide the safest and healthiest environment for our world-class horses.

Our commitment is to the Standardbred racehorse, the fans of Standardbred racing and the breeders. Put simply we love harness racing.
