Hesashark, a gelding bred, reared and sold by Goodtime Lodge, came from last at the bell to score a thrilling win in the Allwood Stud 4YO Series Final at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night (September 25).

Starting from the outside gate, the four-year-old gained a three-wide trail in the back straight before launching four deep on the home turn.

He sprouted wings in the closing stages to prevail by half a length.

The mile rate was 1:58.1 over 1800 metres.

It was Hesashark’s 11th success and tipped his earnings over the $60,000 mark.

Hesashark is out of the unraced Goodtime Katie (by Grinfromeartoear), who left two foals for two sub 2:00 winners.
