Smart MAJOR IN ART mare Nomi Malone hoisted a fresh lifetime mark of 1:54.5 when she outsprinted her rivals at Melton on Friday night (January 5).

Starting from the pole, the four-year-old led in the early part before handing up.

Tipped to the outside on straightening, Nomi Malone exploded to the front and careered away to win by 6.7 metres.

She clocked a sizzling 56.9 for the last 800.

Nomi Malone has now won six races and $46.285 in stakes.

She is out of a 10-win Armbro Operative mare.

MAJOR IN ART has left the winners of more than $400,000 to date this season.
