Sidstrepo, a four-year-old son of Restrepo, scored his second Gloucester Park success for the year on Tuesday night (June 22).

The gelding settled down midfield in the running line before launching a three-wide bid at the 600 metre mark.

Powering to the front on the home turn, Sidstrepo easily held off the challengers to win by half a neck.

The mile rate for the 2130 metres was 1:58.8.

He has now won five races and almost $40,000 in stakes.

Bred by Ian and Judi Slater, Sidstrepo is from the Beach Towel mare Graces Beach, the dam of five sub 2:00 winners.

Restrepo has left seven winners from seven starters and they have averaged $21,000 per starter.
