Talented Restrepo four-year-old Sidstrepo earned a new speed badge of 1:57.4 winning over 1730 metres at Gloucester Park on Tuesday night (November 24).
After being caught deep early, the gelding settled midfield in the running line. Angled three-wide in the back straight, Sidstrepo quickly levelled up with the leading division and surged to the front on the home turn.
He was untroubled to hold off all challengers.
He has now won seven races and more than $55,000 in stakes.
Bred by Ian and Judi Slater, Sidstrepo is out of Grace’s Beach, a Beach Towel mare who produced others in Goodtime Sammy (1:54), Gooodtime Bobby (1:56.4), Goodtime Rumur and Goodtime Stryker.
