Talented SHADYSHARK HANOVER mare Shady Secret notched her sixth win from nine starts this season when she defeated a top lineup of mares at Melton on Friday night (January 12).

Working to the front 400 metres after the start, the four-year-old showed her rivals a clean pair of heels from thereon.

She rated 1:59.8 over 2240 metres with the last 800 in 55.6 and the closing 400 in a sharp 27.

Shady Secret has now won 12 races and almost $70,000 in stakes.

She is out of a French Chef mare.

On the same night the SHADYSHARK HANOVER gelding Love At First Bite posted his maiden success at Leeton.

The four-year-old is from a mare by Our Sir Vancelot.
