VICTORIAN breeding establishment Goodtime Lodge is set to stand an exciting young stallion prospect in the upcoming breeding season.

Already the home of leading American stallion Shadyshark Hanover, the stud will offer unbeaten youngster Goodtime Sammy as a fantastic opportunity for breeders.

A classy son of Somebeachsomewhere, Goodtime Sammy won his four starts in stylish fashion before succumbing to injury.

In fact, Goodtime Sammy broke his pedal bone while winning his Australian Pacing Gold semi-final in 1:54!

“We are giving him plenty of time for his leg to be right, so he will stand at stud this season,” Goodtime Lodge’s Ian Slater explained.

“He broke his bone during the run, you can see him falter at the 350, and yet he was still able to win in quick time, which is testament to his will and strength.

“He’ll stand for $1200, but the first 30 mares booked will be at a discount rate of $800.”

Goodtime Sammy will also be joined by established sire Major In Art, which is making his debut for Slater and his wife, Judi.

Major In Art has produced several high class winners, including Brallos Pass – winner of the South Australia Derby earlier this season.
