Urgoodboy, a four-year-old by Restrepo, hoisted a new lifetime mark of 1:57 winning at Globe Derby Park on Monday (November 22).

Starting from the back row, the gelding settled down second last before launching his bid three-wide at the 700 metre mark.

Urgoodboy circled the entire field in the space of 400 metres and set up an unassailable lead rounding the homne turn.

It was his third success this season.

Bred and raced by Andrew Clarke, Urgoodboy is out of the Group winner Lucy’s Pride 1:58.9 ($102,452), a mare by Pass The Mustard.

Restrepo has sired eight individual winners from nine starters so far.
